The culinary edge
Slice raw into salads with butter and flaky salt, shave over tacos, or serve with whipped feta and herbs. Roast whole to soften the heat and concentrate the sweetness; the leafy tops make a bright pesto or a quick sauté with garlic and lemon.
Growing notes
Sow frequently in loose soil for a continuous harvest. Keep moisture even for round, crisp roots and pull promptly when shoulders reach full colour. Packet: 100+ seeds.
Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. Germinate at 26–30 °C on a heat mat; peppers stall below 22 °C. Pot up to 10–15 cm before hardening off outside after nights stay above 12 °C.
