In The Kitchen
Use the young leaves raw for colour and bite, or cook mature leaves with garlic, ginger, noodles, beans, and rice.
Growing Notes
- Sow in cool weather in fertile, evenly moist soil.
- Succession sow for a continuous mix of baby leaves.
- Harvest young for a milder, tender crop.
- Shade during hot weather to slow bolting.
Packet: 10+ seeds. Colour and leaf mix vary naturally from plant to plant.
Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. Germinate at 26–30 °C on a heat mat; peppers stall below 22 °C. Pot up to 10–15 cm before hardening off outside after nights stay above 12 °C.
