Grow Zones
View Zone Maps
Find your garden zone before using Casa Verde's seed finder. Canadian zones are the primary reference; USDA zones are provided for shoppers who use the US system.
Primary for Canada
Canada Plant Hardiness Zone Map
Use this map first if you garden in Canada. Choose the closest Canadian zone in the seed finder.
US reference
USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map
Useful for US gardeners and cross-border comparison. Casa Verde recommendations still use Canadian zones first.
How to use zones for annual seeds
Hardiness zones describe winter climate. For annual vegetables like peppers, tomatoes, herbs, flowers, and greens, zone is only the starting point. Also check frost dates, season length, heat, days to maturity, and whether the crop should be started indoors.
When in doubt, choose short-season varieties and follow the indoor-start timing on the product page.
