Casa Verde Seeds FAQ

Clear answers about our seed catalogue, Canadian shipping, product information, germination, orders, and support.

Products

Seeds and product information

Where does Casa Verde Seeds ship from?

Orders are packed and shipped from Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. Current delivery terms and available destinations are shown in our shipping policy.

Are all seeds open-pollinated?

No. The catalogue includes open-pollinated, heirloom, and hybrid varieties. Product titles or descriptions identify hybrid varieties where that information is available. Check the individual listing before ordering seed for a saving project.

How many seeds are in a packet?

Packet counts vary by crop and variety. Use the seed-count or quantity information on the product page as the source for that packet. Contact us before ordering if a listing is unclear.

What does rare or specialty mean?

It can describe limited availability, regional history, unusual flavour, uncommon colour or shape, or a variety that is difficult to find in Canada. Rare does not automatically mean old, open-pollinated, or difficult to grow.

Growing

Germination and garden planning

Does Casa Verde guarantee germination?

Living seed responds to storage, temperature, moisture, age, and sowing method, so no seed company can promise that every seed will germinate in every home. Follow the product directions and contact us with the variety, sowing date, temperature, and method if a packet performs unexpectedly.

Are the varieties suitable for every Canadian zone?

No single catalogue fits every Canadian garden. Check days to maturity, indoor lead time, your frost dates, and available protection. Our guides emphasize short-season planning, but the gardener must match each variety to local conditions.

When should I start pepper seeds?

Most peppers need an indoor start of 8 to 12 weeks before the expected last frost; slow rocotos and superhots may need longer. Use our free Canadian pepper seed-starting calculator.

Where can I find growing instructions?

Start with the product description and then visit the Growing Tips journal for Canadian guides covering peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and specialty vegetables.

Shipping, changes, and problems

How do I check shipping cost?

Add items to the cart and enter the delivery information at checkout. The store will display the available rate before payment. Free-shipping promotions apply only when the published conditions are met.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Contact us as soon as possible with the order number. We can only change an order before it enters packing or fulfillment.

What if an order is missing or damaged?

Use the contact page and include the order number, affected item, and a photograph when damage is visible. Review the refund policy for current terms.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale quantities?

Availability depends on the crop and current inventory. Contact Casa Verde with the variety, approximate quantity, and intended timing so we can confirm what is possible.
